The Regime has responded to the secession petitions:

They refer to Texas v White, erroneously as we have pointed out.

They refer to Lincoln and his first inaugural address

“I hold that in contemplation of universal law and of the Constitution the Union of these States is perpetual. Perpetuity is implied, if not expressed, in the fundamental law of all national governments. It is safe to assert that no government proper ever had a provision in its organic law for its own termination. Continue to execute all the express provisions of our National Constitution, and the Union will endure forever, it being impossible to destroy it except by some action not provided for in the instrument itself.

Again: If the United States be not a government proper, but an association of States in the nature of contract merely, can it, as acontract, be peaceably unmade by less than all the parties who made it? One party to a contract may violate it–break it, so to speak–but does it not require all to lawfully rescind it?

No Mr. Obama/Lincoln, it only requires a 2/3rds vote of the Senate to relinquish by treaty territory to another entity, as the the US can do with Texas to the People of Texas.

A perpetual union is a violation of human rights of self-determination and of association, as Thomas Paine so noted in Common Sense and The Crisis. If a constitution “implies” perpetuity, it is a defect in the constitution.

Fortunately for the reputation of The Constitution, it does provide several avenues of secession: in addition to the treaty, how did the Constitution itself come into power? “Implied” in the Constitution must be that the way it itself came into force was lawful,no? It came into force by 3/4ths of the states ratifying the new government in separate state elections.

Mr. Obama/Lincoln also repeats that the Civil War “vindicated” a perpetual Union. Killing people vindicates ideas? This is the essence of this Union, not only in theory, but in practice all around the world today. This Union is a killer, a murder of children a thousand “Sandy Hooks” over. This Union is leading humanity to a dark future, one of horror and death.

You seem to be having difficulty in getting sane people to join you in your fantasy world of secession. Maybe if you could explain a few things, it would go better for you.

1. Why would a person want to give up the hard earned freedoms and liberties one has living in the land of the free, home of the brave and join you in NorthCarolinaStan?

2. What would NorthCarolinaStan have to offer that 'We The People' do not already have living in USA?

3. Will NorthCarolinaStan be a simple christian dictatorship; will only white men get to vote?

4. Will the inmates of NorthCarolinaStan be allowed to own slaves, guns, and land?

5. Will barter be the norm within NorthCarolinaStan or the bases of exchange be gold/silver?

6. Will one's cell phone work in NorthCarolinaStan and must one pay international calling charges for services?

7. Will one get to watch FOX TV in NorthCarolinaStan?

Maybe now one can see why so few take you seriously; you leave too many questions unanswered.

Miss Nymton:

Do you truly believe your rights are protected now? Do you think the Federal government has any goal to end the wars?

A free North Carolina would have:

1. More freedom from intrusive government with the abolishment of entities like the DHHS, EPA, and a plethora of other departments.
2. The right to not be killed by the President after being declared a "terrorist." A right to a trial.
3. Undoubtedly North Carolinians will choose to preserve their Christian culture (cult=thing or idea people follow) as other nations do. To say this would negate everyone else's vote is foolish, however.
4. Guns and land, sure. Those are protected (though under siege from Washington) now. Your remark about slavery I will ignore, as it is not worth answering.
5. A gold standard has shown to keep the price of money stabler than unbacked paper, but that is up to the State Legislature.
6.Lower taxes equals more business. And North Carolina won't be tapping your calls like D.C. is now doing.
7. I think TV will be viewable everywhere.
8. By your questions above, madame, my feelings towards you are reciprocal.

The way to answer such objections is through a Reconstitutional Convention that will seek the orderly Partition of the United States.

To Ema Nymton: We want a divorce. If you want us to say "it's not you, it's me", fine. We have and will. We are the problem; why on Earth would you want to remain locked in political union with us?

While I supported the concept of using these petitions to demand freedom, it was clear from the start that the regime would respond as it did. In other words; "Thanks for dropping by, the answer is no." No surprises here.

One thing that troubled me from the start is the concept of the "We the people" forum/petition. As a student of Chinese Communism I studied Mao's "Let a thousand flowers bloom" campaign. In China, the citizens were encouraged to put up posters expressing their thoughts and suggestions on how to improve government. What could go wrong? Shortly thereafter the cultural revolution got into full swing and the government remembered the names of those who said their government was less than perfect. The lucky ones took a beating while most were eliminated one way or another.

I'm for speaking up as did our ancestors, but we need to remember the tactics of those we are dealing with. Signing these "We the people" petitions is in effect adding your name to a growing list of "counter-revolutionaries".

There have been, and will come times in human history, when the thin veil of the rule of law becomes just that, a THIN VEIL.

This does make some sense since once you ratify a Constitutional amendment you cannot un-ratify it.

What an utterly bullsh_t reply from WH. But did we expect anything less? Funny they mentioned 600,000 dead. That's going to be a drop in the bucket the 2nd time around.

Oh please. there will be no '2nd time.' This has been settled.

USA is a peaceful nation. 'We The People' believe in our governments because our governments work for the benefits of the people.

Ever heard of Amendment XXI of US Constitution?

Lol, lady you are a hoot. The US is one of the most violent, despotic, and dishonest regimes ever saddled on a nation of people. what a sad but predictable end to Lincoln's empire.

If you think freedom-loving christian people can ever get along with legions of communists, mongrels, and atheists you reveal the true extent of your madness
