Reading between the lines on the Senators legislation and el Presidente's executive action, I predict that the guns that are not given up will eventually be confiscated by blue helmeted foreign troops from the UN.

You smell funny to me. My remarks said UN troops would be confiscating guns. Of course they will be accompanied by US troops, or as specified in the UN small arms disarmament treaty, the UN troops would assist local law enforcement, at the request of the state (state here being the member nation).
As an answer to your question directed to me, I say what's the difference.
The true "irony" of this is that DHS is calling the 7,000 FULL auto AR's they are ordering for their employees "personal defense weapons". Of course, they call our SEMI-AUTO AR's "assault weapons".
Ema, tell us what exactly is a "USA policeman". Local law enforcement? In these parts, they would not refer to themselves as such and they won't be encroaching on our 2nd Amendment rights.
Perhaps you should just go ahead and turn in all your firearms right now. Or you could crush them under your Prius and share that You Tube video with us.

That is the whole point .. to completely take over the country , the gun owners , not military or police , screw them .. the common folk are the ones who have sense and who will stand up ...
